Nederlandse Loterij has started a public lobby against the bill to increase the gambling tax rate for land-based sports betting to 29% of GGR – the same rate as for online sports betting. The proposed tax increase will mean the end of De Toto, Nederlandse Loterij CEO Niels Onkenhout says.

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has imposed new B2C license requirements on affiliates and marketing firms. “Where the intermediary enters into contractual agreements with players, it is no longer an intermediary but, rather, requires a B2C license,” according to a recent MGA guidance notice.
