Dutch government launches second pilot program allowing casino visits after negative Covid-19 test
On May 29, several Dutch land-based casinos will participate in a second pilot program that will allow them to receive visitors who are able to show a negative Covid-19 test.
Six Holland Casino venues will participate, as well as several arcade halls throughout the country.
Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA) declares support for the All-In Diversity Project
NOGA, the Dutch trade association of online gambling operators, has agreed a partnership with the All-In Diversity Project, an industry-driven initiative benchmarking diversity, equality and inclusion in the global gaming sector.
The partnership will bring valuable information, webinars and training on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion to NOGA members and the Netherlands gambling market.
“We are delighted to be part of the international network of the All-In Diversity Project, representing the Netherlands. NOGA and its members are fully committed to All-In Diversity Project’s values and goals, and we will actively propagate them with our colleagues, gambling companies, employees, stakeholders and Dutch government bodies,” said Peter-Paul de Goeij, managing director of NOGA.
L&L Europe and BetBlocker to collaborate on Dutch-language gambling block app
L&L Europe and BetBlocker are to collaborate in a bid to create the first gambling block app in the Dutch language.
The partnership will see L&L Europe provide resources to translate the BetBlocker website and application, with the group to also assist in making sure Dutch customers can get support in their native language.
Jan Wienk, marketing manager and head of product development at L&L Europe: “We are really looking forward to kick-off this project and enhancing an already proven safer gambling tool, recognized by the UKGC as effective support for problem gamblers as part of their recovery program.”

Jack's Casino agrees three-year sponsorship deal with annual Racing Day event
Jack's Casino has signed a deal to become the new title sponsor of the annual Racing Day event at the TT Assen racetrack.
The 2021 Racing Day event will take place August 6-8 and feature a large number of car, motorcycle, and kart races.
Eric Olders, CEO of Jack's Casino commented: “Racing is extremely popular with our visitors and our staff. It also fits seamlessly into our online and betting strategy, as we will expand our land-based offer with online casino games and sports betting from the fourth quarter.”
H2 Gambling Capital and TrustPartners renew advisory partnership
Data and intelligence supplier H2 Gambling Capital has recently renewed its strategic alliance with Italian management consultancy TrustPartners, in order to offer a new range of advisory services to the gaming industry.
In related news, H2 Gambling Capital estimates that in 2020 Dutch gambling GGR dropped 27% with online growing 12%. Going forwards, H2 expects the Dutch online market to grow 18% yearly to reach 34% of total gambling GGR by 2025.

Netherlands Gambling Authority to tackle affiliate advertising
The Netherlands Gambling Authority has announced a fresh campaign against affiliates that promote illegal online gambling offerings ahead of the imminent opening of the regulated Dutch online market.
The announcement follows recent reports that minors and young adults are increasingly being targeted by Dutch-language gambling advertising on YouTube, as well as other social media platforms.
Earlier, the Dutch regulator said that its primary focus would be on banning gambling apps from app stores rather than tackling the advertisements itself.
