The full, sixty-page study is available here.

The study is based on a custom assessment model that allows for a maximum score of 18 points.

Holland Casino, Jacks.nl, LeoVegas, Tombola, and TOTO each scored 14 points. Fourteen other operators scored either 13 or 12 points, while four others scored less than twelve points.

Entain examines possible sale of BetCity

Entain has hired advisers to oversee the possible sale of several of its overseas brands, possibly unwinding a multibillion-pound acquisition spree, the Financial Times reports.

Among those that could be sold are Netherlands-based BetCity, which Entain bought for €450m last year.

The disposal of overseas brands would allow Entain’s management to focus on revitalizing operations in its core markets, such as the UK and Germany, where it has been losing market share.

Meanwhile, further details have been disclosed regarding Entain’s legal challenge against BetCity's former owners regarding the valuation of the latter company.

According to Entain, BetCity.nl’s value is €68m to €156m less than the previously agreed deal. Entain is now seeking to recover the amount it overpaid for the Dutch operator, claiming that BetCity's owners concealed information related to prior regulatory infringements.

Two former owners of illegal online operator Amsterdams Casino have had their two-year jail sentences overturned and replaced with 200 hours of community service on appeal. A third defendant has been acquitted.
