Nederlandse Online Gambling Associatie (NOGA) and Swedish counterpart BOS sign cooperation agreement
The Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA) and the Swedish Trade Association for Online Gambling (BOS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote further cooperation between the two trade associations.
Specifically, BOS and NOGA agreed to work more closely together in jointly promoting market channelization and responsible gaming. In addition, they will mutually exchange information and share local best practices to help build a healthy, reliable and secure online gambling market in the two countries.
NOGA managing director Peter-Paul de Goeij: “NOGA is very pleased with this official confirmation of the collaboration. For the past two years, Sweden has preceded the Netherlands in the regulation of the online gambling market. We can learn a lot from the experiences that BOS has gained during this period. Incidentally, the contact with BOS and other European sister organizations was already good and constructive, but with this formalization we hope to further boost European cooperation between sector organizations.”
Netherlands Gambling Authority and French regulator pursue cross-border cooperation
The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) and its French counterpart, Autorité Nationale des Jeux (ANJ), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement between the ANJ and the KSA pursues cooperation between regulatory authorities which share a common view on online gambling regulation, including the promotion of cross-border cooperation and adoption of common principles guaranteeing a high level of protection for consumers, players, and minors.
The agreement, organized in respect of personal data protection rules, will enhance the efficiency of regulation carried out by both authorities in strategic regulatory areas such as:
The fight against money laundering and financing terrorism.
The management of player accounts.
The supervision of advertising.
The protection of consumers and prevention of problem gambling.
The KSA previously signed similar cooperation agreements with the Swedish and Maltese gambling regulators.
