With over 25,000 industry professionals in attendance and more than 70 educational sessions, the annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Vegas has become the largest US event for gaming professionals.
Last week, I had the chance to sit alongside Bryan Bailey of Casinomeister, one of the industry’s longest-standing online casino affiliates and experts, Huw Thomas, Chief Corporate Development and Marketing Officer at NYXGG, and Luisa Woods, Vice President of Online and Internet Marketing at Tropicana Entertainment to discuss the key challenges being faced in the US at the moment. We also looked at the importance of having a holistic view of the customer, and what opportunities affiliates represent in a new market.
The goal of the session was to make the idea of moving online with a land-based brand more accessible, and also share some of the experiences, challenges and wins that key industry influencers have experienced as the US gambling market has evolved. In the panel, we considered:
The intersection of iGaming with brick-and-mortar casinos
iGaming player demographics, how they're being acquired and at what cost
The status of affiliates and what that means to online casinos
In the SlideShare below, I highlight some key takeaways from our panel. Please enjoy and share your thoughts! Thanks to Bryan Bailey, Huw Thomas and Luisa Woods for joining me, and to Sue Schneider and the team at G2E for inviting us to participate in the educational sessions.
