888, one of Britain’s biggest online gambling firms, is to pay a record penalty package of over £7.8million as a result of serious failings in its handling of vulnerable customers, the UK Gambling Commission announced today.

Novomatic AG has published its interim financial report for H1 2017. The company reported an 11.3% increase in revenues compared to the same period in the previous year. The company also stated:

With these acquisitions, the Group is enhancing its market position in some of Europe’s core markets.
In March 2017, Novomatic acquired 100 percent of shares in Dutch land-based gaming operators Super Game B.V. and Biermann’s Bingo B.V., the Netherlands, which operate a total of seven gaming arcades. In addition, the company also acquired Casino Admiral Holland Appelscha B.V.

UK and Ireland sportsbook operator Ladbrokes Coral has announced a 7% year-on-year rise in its operating profits for the first half of 2017.
Mybet has reported a 29% drop in H1 revenues to €17.1m, with the firm attributing the decline to the blocking of its casino in Greece and the lack of a major football tournament.
Intralot has said that its financial performance during the six months to June 30 represents a “turning point” for the company. Revenue in the first half came in at €733.2m, which represents an increase of 15.1% in the €636.9m posted in the same period last year.
