At last week’s Gaming in Holland Conference & Expo, Netherlands Gaming Authority CEO Marja Appelman spoke on the topics of remote gaming licensing and the Gaming Authority’s new (as well as wholly unexpected) online enforcement policy that came into force on June 1.
In order to allow our visitors to take note of the exact wording of Ms Appelman, we have included an unabridged video recording of her address below.
The full text of Ms Appelman’s speech titled “The Law and the Elephant” is available here.
The Gaming Authority’s licensing proposals and online enforcement policy were subsequently discussed by our expert panel, consisting of Maarten Haijer, Secretary General at the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA); Corinne Valletta, Head of Regulatory Affairs and Group Compliance at Betsson Group; gaming lawyer Justin Franssen, Partner at Kalff Katz & Franssen; Sanne Muijser, General Secretary at VAN Kansspelen; and Rutger-Jan Hebben, MD at trade association Speel Verantwoord.
A written recap of the sessions on secondary remote gaming legislation and the Netherlands Gaming Authority’s new online enforcement policy is available here.
