A Very Nice Christmas Gift: Plenary Debate on Dutch Remote Gaming Bill to Occur in 2016
Last week, the House committee for Security and Justice at last decided (p. 12, item #50) to submit the remote gaming bill for plenary discussion in the Lower House. Although as of yet no date has been set, it seems certain the debate will occur in 2016, which means the bill remains on schedule for implementation in 2017.
In related news, the bill which aims to modernize land-based casino regulation is also moving forward. The Council of State has recently presented its advice on this bill to the Council of Ministers, paving the way for the bill to be submitted for discussion (in committee) in the Lower House.
